Boys and Girls Clubs of Hudson County (BGCHC) was established in 1893 when it launched programming in Jersey City. Service expanded to Hoboken in 1984, and today, we impact more than 2,000 school-aged youth by providing afterschool and summer programs in 7 sites. Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. BGCHC specializes in providing guidance and counseling, academic support and enrichment and social-emotional learning through its daily activities in an inclusive environment. BGCHC has a vast network of support throughout the community that results in a large number of volunteers and the ability to connect youth and families to other services.
