Since 1969, Speech and Hearing Associates has provided speech therapy, hearing aid evaluations, and hearing and auditory processing evaluations to ensure that infants, children, teens and adults reach their full potential to communicate and to hear all the sounds of life.
Our speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat articulation, language, fluency, voice, processing and swallowing disorders. We work with individuals who have autism, developmental delays, have had strokes and other neurological conditions.
Many of our speech language pathologists are PROMPT trained. We conduct Alternative and Augmentative Communication Evaluations and work with people who have such devices.
We are SpeechEasy providers for people who stutter and for people with Parkinson’s disease.
Speech and Hearing Associates offers social communication groups, fluency groups as well as individualized auditory rehabilitation.
Speech and Hearing Associates’ audiologists conduct hearing and hearing aid evaluations for all ages and are experts in diagnosing and providing educational recommendations for children with central auditory processing disorders.
Speech and Hearing Associates has been dispensing and servicing all major hearing aid brands since 1980. We are experts in adjusting hearing aids that have been purchased elsewhere and are not working as they should. We provide musician earplugs, swim molds, and sound limiting headphones for hearing protection.
All evaluations, fittings and follow-up visits are with doctors of audiology with combined decades of experience, and many have dedicated their entire careers at SHA, which means they will be here for you.
Speech and Hearing Associates receives referrals from, and partners with, physicians, hospitals, educators, schools, Head Start programs, early intervention programs and long-term care facilities. SHA consults with more than 65 school districts in New Jersey, providing in-service training for educators, therapy and evaluations for students, as well as speech-language screenings, and Audiology and Central Auditory Processing consultations.
