The New Experiences tour was designed for people with Autism . Participants are given a tour of the Museum’s eight period rooms, and provided opportunities to handle objects to help understand the habits of 19th-century New Yorkers. Tours are linked to a craft making or skill building workshops. Art workshops include creating silhouettes, candles, tolware, scented soap and weaving. Each tour and craft is flexible according to the groups interest and needs.
